About the Century Farm Companies
Our farming journey started in 2008. Fast forward to 2014, we purchased an organic dairy and created Century Farm Organics. We have grown from a modest 200 acre farm to over 2,500 certified organic acres. In 2019 we decided to liquidate our organic dairy and focus on organic row crop and solid seeded grain farming.
Our farm supports 5.5 families off of the acres we farm. With the acres we have we would only be able to do this by farming organically. Pair that with our love and passion for organic farming and we feel we have a winning combination.
The past few years we have expanded into new markets. We started doing custom work such as litter spreading and hauling, lime spreading, custom weed zapping. We were contacted about both seed and equipment sales, selling Prairie Hybrids seed and the Einbock, Falc, and Meneguzzo equipment lines. All these services are contained within Century Farm Ag Solutions.
We also own Century Farm Poultry, growing turkeys for Jennie-O. This operation supplies us with fertilizer. A necessary component of organic farming.
David Christensen
Known as Pastor Dave as he is a full time pastor as well, Dave was the person who started the passion for organic farming. Dave lives on the original homestead with his wife Julie. Dave is great at sourcing equipment and is the visionary for our farm.
Jerry Matzner
Jerry grew up farming in SD. After a 22 year career with Schwan’s he came back to farming, this time organic farming in MN. Jerry and his wife, Kristi, live in Marshall. Jerry enjoys the challenge of organics and how two years are never the same.
Shawn Lozinski
Shawn worked for dealerships as an equipment mechanic before starting with us. Shawn can fix or make just about anything and will be a Sales Lead with us. Shawn and his wife Amy live on and raise cattle on their generational family farm.
Kyle Verdoes
Kyle started with CFO after ag school and leads our fertility program and the custom work we do. Kyle also is one of our key weeders in row crop and started our YouTube Channel. Kyle and his wife Mallory live in Marshall. Kyle enjoys the outside the box thinking mentality it takes to organic farm and the teamwork it takes to try to be successful in the field.
Kevin Verdoes
Kevin joined us after working on another organic farm. He has experience raising cattle and driving over-the-road trucking routes. Kevin will serve as a Sales Lead with Ag Solutions and as a key weeder on the crop side of the operation. His attention to even the smallest details makes him an effective organic farmer. Kevin and his wife, Ashley, live on a farm outside of Marshall.
Jaydn Walberg
Jaydn joined our team after spending nearly three years as a Service Technician at Kibble Equipment in Marshall. He brings strong equipment knowledge and hands on experience from working on other farms throughout the area. Jaydn and his wife, Erika, live in Ghent.
Landon Frost
Landon is a recent graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College with a degree in business management. He assists with a variety of tasks on the farm and will focus on strengthening the farm’s marketing efforts. Landon enjoys learning new things each day. He and his fiancée, Kate, live in Marshall.
